Program Files and Folders

The main program's folder structure contains only two sub folders. One for the default collections and one for the publishing packages.

Let's look more closely at each folder.
root
In the above tree, the root is the main program folder, typically c:\program files\formedia\topico.
root/collections
The collections folder contains the default collection, other collections might be added to this folder in the future.
You should save you collection in a place where you can easily backup your source files on a regular basis.
root/packages/...
The packages folder is where all publishing packages are stored in their individual folder. Advanced users can create their own packages and add them to this folder. All packages are merged at run time to build the Packages dropdown menu.
root/packages/system
The system folder contains XSL Templates that are used to transform the master file for different purposes. These templates are often shared between packages. Feel free to reuse these templates in your own packages.
