Terminology

Here are some terms that are used in this user guide and that might benefit from a disclosed definition.

Collection

A collection of topics arranged into a hierarchical structure.

Generated content

Content that is added to the pages/topics during the publishing process.

Page

A web page or a "published" topic.

Publication

A "published" collection. A publication can be a web site or an HTML Help file.

Publishing package

The files used to publish the collection (XSL template, CSS stylesheet, scripts) and other files used in the publishing process.

Stylesheet

A Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) file.

Template

An XSLT template file (often called stylesheet in other context).

Topic

A small chunk of content (text, images, ...) with a title, a short description and other metadata.
